Wednesday, 17 May, 2017 - 09:00

The Indian company invited to showcase an EVM, has distanced itself from what it called “hackathon” organised by the IEC.

In a statement, Bharat Electronics, says it has been invited to show only the functionality of EVMs and VVPATs designed to meet the specific requirements of Botswana Government.

Bharat Electronics is not disputing that these machines can be hacked, but it says they are different from the ones which are used by the Election Commission of India.
