Children with disability continue to face challenges

Monday, 20 March, 2017 - 08:00

Children with disability reportedly continue to face a lot of challenges in the country.

This was revealed by the board chairperson of Tshidilo Stimulation Centre in Maun, Segi Dimbo during the handing over of physiotherapy equipment donated to the center by FNBB Foundation.

Dimbo says one of the biggest challenges the children face is a shortage of rehabilitation equipment to improve their quality life.

Dimbo says rehabilitation equipment is very expensive and most of the disabled children benefiting from them come from impoverished families.

She says this makes it hard for the families to afford such essential equipment for mobility and therapy support.

Meanwhile, Dimbo thanked FNBB for the donation stating that it will go a long way in reducing the challenges faced by children with disability.
