Botswana is exploring the possibility of collaborating with other SADC countries to further reduce mobile roaming charges, building on a recently signed agreement with Namibia.

This move aligns with the SADC's single digital market initiative, aiming to facilitate seamless connectivity across the region.


Minister of Communication Thulagano Segokgo emphasized the potential benefits of this initiative, saying that engaging more countries to reduce roaming rates will help reduce costs for citizens.


Minister Segokgo acknowledged the need for further collaboration across the SADC region.
