Article By: Diana Motsu Botswana Oil Limited has revealed that it has increased the empowerment of citizen trucks within the fuel transportation industry from 3% to 25%.
Botswana Oil Company Senior Manager for Commercial Thabo Simon stated that as a result of this development, a total of 116 truck owners are citizens adding that they are expecting the numbers to increase with time.
He said this is part of their commitment towards encouraging more citizens to be active participants in the local economy adding that foreign trucks have dominated the sector for a long time hence why citizen share had to increase also saying that citizens have gradually gained experience to supply fuel.
