Young Epilepsy Botswana is urging early diagnosis and proper management of epilepsy to improve the lives of those affected.

The neurological disorder, which causes seizures, can be effectively controlled with the right treatment and support.

Speaking to Gabz FM News, Co-founder and Chairperson Naledi Khan, a mother of a person with epilepsy, emphasized the importance of recognizing seizure types for timely intervention.

She highlighted that proper medical care, enables individuals with epilepsy to lead normal, productive lives.

However, Khan noted that stigma and misinformation remain significant challenges despite ongoing advocacy.
