Article By: Diana Motsu

President Mokgweetsi Masisi has announced that the general elections will be held on October 30th, 2024, in a national television broadcast. In an effort to increase voter turnout, the President declared October 30th and 31st as public holidays.

The President's decision to declare the two days as public holidays is a move that may prove popular with the electorate, as it will give them an extra day off work to cast their votes.
