MAUN POLICE INVESTIGATE MURDER SUICIDE INCIDENT.

Maun police have confirmed a suspected murder-suicide involving a 43-year-old man from Sanyedi ward. The man is alleged to have killed his 40-year-old girlfriend at Sedie ward before taking his own life.

Acting Officer Commanding for District No. 5, Superintendent Molefhe Molefhe, stated that the couple is believed to have had a misunderstanding on Monday night.

He added that the woman was found unresponsive with severe injuries on Tuesday morning and was rushed to the hospital, where she was certified dead upon arrival.

Police later proceeded to the man’s residence, where they found him dead, having allegedly taken his own life by hanging. He, however, noted that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
